CWA is an international screenwriting contest known for having the writer’s interest at heart when it comes to development and industry promotion. We have built relationships with some of the industry’s most recognized companies, all of which are aggressively looking for fresh, new material.
At CWA, we have made it our goal to expose talented new writers to many of these A-list companies. By doing so, our vision is to help writers garner the exposure and recognition they need to propel their personal projects and careers forward.
Now going into our fourth year, with several options signed for past entrants, we have firmly established ourselves worldwide as a leading source for discovering emerging talent in the entertainment industry.

MOFILM is receiving an amazing response from Brands and Filmmakers to our latest competitions and we want to continue providing the best Brands with the most rewarding Prizes.
In association with WebTrends we have a refreshing line-up of briefs. Some new brands and some our of all-time favorite brands invite you to win great cash prizes plus an unforgettable trip to New York in April/May 2011.
There will be at least one winner for each brand with prizes that include cash and trips for 2 people to the MOFILM New York. In New York the winners and their guests will join MOFILM, brand representatives and surprise guests for MOFILM New York screenings, themed events and our famous awards ceremony and dinner.
BUICK-NCAA VIDEO CONTEST 2011
Buick-NCAA Video Contest – $8,000 – 14yo – 54 seconds – Due April 22, 2011
NCAA athletics are about more than sports. The men and women who compete in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) sports are more than athletes. They are students. They are role models. They are leaders. Buick wants you to make your own film about the NCAA athletic experience. Find a former NCAA athlete, and tell their story in a mini-documentary, up to 60 seconds long (closing animation is 6 seconds long, so max total length of your film should be 54 seconds).
24HOUR FILM RACE 2011
24 Hour Film Race 2011 April 29-30, 2011
The 24 Hour Film Race 2011 is an international competition that challenges filmmakers everywhere to create short films (4 minutes max.) in just 24 hours. The 2011 competition is scheduled to kick off at 10PM EST on Friday, April 29th. Filmmakers are e-mailed a Theme (ex. Revenge, Spare Change, A Trade, etc…) and Surprise Elements (ex. A Prop and/or Action) which must be included in the film. Filmmakers have until 9:59PM EST on Saturday, April 30th to write, shoot, and edit an original short film and upload the finished film here on filmracing.com. The filmmakers have the option premiering their film at theaters in over 15 cities across North America and the top 24 films from the competition will be invited to a gala screening and awards ceremony in New York on July 16th where they will be competing for thousands in cash and prizes!
